For Managed Care Companies and other Provider Mental Health Care Agencies, we offer:
Board Certified Psychiatrists with English fluency.
Plug-and-play interface between our system and yours. We provide the necessary HIPAA compliant, web-based teleconferencing software and equipment that can be safely connected to any computer within your network. At our expense, we will fly in a crew of professionally trained staff to participate in installation and implementation.
Do you have doctors in your urban sites tied up traveling/providing services to your remote sites? Let us cover all of your remote sites via videoconferencing telepsychiatry, and free up your in-house psychiatrists to see patients in need in your high population areas.
Temporary coverage to bridge you to full-staffing, or we will take ownership of the patient and provide continuity of care.
Having trouble retaining doctors for whatever reason? Stop spending time and money training providers who leave. Meet Medicare and Medicaid patient access mandates quickly and cost effectively.
Flexible hours for outpatient, critical care, emergency room, and inpatient settings
We can also provide:
- Telepsychiatry Strategic Planning
- Development of clinically appropriate and financially favorable Telepsychiatry Programs.
- We can assist your credentialing department in credentialing our doctors for your company.
The Telepsychiatry option allows for:
No need for recruiting, processing applications, or interviewing.
No need to budget for locums tenens, training, vacation coverage, health insurance, malpractice insurance, 401Ks, Workers Compensation, payroll taxes, general liability insurance, or pensions.
Or if you are looking to hire a permanent in-house doctor, perhaps you would like to see how a candidate works before you make the commitment. Let us contract with your top candidate and bring him or her into your system to provide services via videoconferencing telepsychiatry for one to twelve months and then make your hiring decision. "Try before you buy."

What about Credentialing?
CMS Publishes Final Hospital Telemedicine Credentialing Standards
On May 5, 2011, CMS published a final rule revising the hospital conditions of participation (COP) related to the credentialing and privileging of physicians who provide telemedicine services. CMS includes both teleradiology (non-simultaneous) services and telehealth (simultaneous) services within the definition of telemedicine. In short, the final rule allows the governing body of a hospital or critical access hospital (CAH) to rely upon the credentialing and privileging decisions made by a distant-site hospital or telemedicine entity when making its own decisions on privileges for the individual distant-site physicians and practitioners providing such services. Certain conditions must be met under this rule, including a written agreement with the distant-site hospital or telemedicine entity to ensure that the distant-site entity, acting as a contractor of services, furnishes its services in a manner that enables the hospital or CAH to comply with all applicable COPs and standards for the contracted services, including the credentialing and privileging requirements regarding its physicians and practitioners providing telemedicine services. The rule is effective July 5, 2011.
California Telepsychiatrists/American Telepsychiatrists uses the credentialing service of the Federation of State Medical Boards.
FEDERATION CREDENTIALS VERIFICATION SERVICE (FCVS)
Verifying credentials is an essential building block of medical regulation - and FCVS leads the way with permanent records and data security.
FCVS establishes a permanent repository of primary-source verified credentials for physicians and physician assistants, saving duplicate efforts by state medical boards.
Established in 1996 FCVS has verified the credentials of more than 127,000 physicians to date. FCVS collects and stores high-quality, primary-source verification of core credentials, which include physician identity, medical education, graduate medical education, examination history, Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates certification and disciplinary history. Primary-source verification ensures that state medical boards receive information verified directly from the source, eliminating the potential for fraudulent documentation.
FCVS lightens the workload of credentialing staff and reduces duplication of effort.

We're Too Rural to get Internet. What can we do?
Universal Service Rebates
The Rural Health Care (RHC) Program provides reduced rates to eligible rural health care providers (HCPs) for telecommunications and Internet services used for the provision of health care so they pay no more than their urban counterparts for the same or similar services. The program offers discounts on services such as basic telephone service, Internet access, advanced telecom services, and wireless services (source).
Congress directed the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) to enhance access to advanced telecommunications and information services for HCPs through the Universal Service Fund (USF). The Universal Service Administrative Company (USAC) was designated by the FCC to administer the USF. USAC is responsible for reviewing and processing eligible HCPs' applications for support, ensuring compliance with program rules, and issuing commitments (source).
